The Doodlebug is very excited to have published author, Sherry Steveson, here for a book signing and to teach 2 classes for us in July. Sherry has been passionate about scrapbooking for over ten years. Finding a hobby that merged her love for photography with her gift of writing, all wrapped up in a creative outlet was the catalyst for a life long devotion. Her work has been published in many of the major scrapbook magazines and idea books and always brings a thrill to her family when they see their faces on the pages of those publications, and she is the author of When Life Gives You Lemons and the recently released The Scrapbook Embellishment Handbook (Memory Makers Books). She has also found her calling in the world of teaching scrapbooking to others. Sherry currently maintains a blog at www.sherrysteveson.typepad.com . When she isn’t writing, scrapbooking or teaching, she has a very full schedule with her three children and husband’s landscape business & training to run a marathon. We currently have copies of Sherry’s books in the store, so be sure to ask about them and get a feel for her work! You can also check out her blog for some fabulous examples of her scrapbooking style & projects she has completed!!!
SHOP HOP 2010
Are you Ready? It is almost time for our Second Annual S. Indiana/N. Kentucy Scrapbooking Store Hop! I am so excited about the Shop Hop this year. We will have Seven Stores this year. Sadly, we are missing a few stores this year, and I know that they will be missed. This just re-inforces that we need this shop hop so that we can support the small locally owned stores to keep them going! The dates for the shop hop this year are July 9th-25th! Hopefully this gives you enough time to plan your schedule and your "hopping route." Once again you will be entitled to that great 20% discount as a shop hopper. Plus, enjoy all of the great make-n-takes and prizes! As if that isn't enough; if you make it to all 7 of the Shop Hop Stores...you will be entered into the Grand Prize!
So, get out your datebooks, call your "Scrapping" buddies and stay tuned for more updates and information! Our Passports are READY for you to pick up, so stop in at any time! I also have a link for the registation attached to the picture below so you can print it out and have it ready!
Glass Pendants now Available
If you have not been in to see the new glass pendants handmade by Dawn Ferguson, of Simply Lula, then you need to come in and check them out! These beautiful pendants are constructed of solid glass and the backgrounds are made with fun, colorful scrapbooking paper. She has small sizes, large sizes, sports, and now she will be offering custom made pendants that can be personalized with a child’s name, a phrase, quote, school mascot, or even the birth date of child or grandchild. We are very excited to be carrying this new line of glass pendants, as we are always trying to keep up with the latest and greatest and offer you something new!
